They are different routes, with varying difficulties. The idea is that if you're doing, say, the yellow route, you only use the 'holds' with the yellow tape. Of course, the wall itself is in to use. You see me using my feet on the bare wall a few times.
It's a lot of fun, very challenging, and very fulfilling when you accomplish something. It's great fitness too.
Good climbing Dooser. Those are not the beginner walls you are on. I once worked at a camp that had some climbing towers, high ropes courses and a zip line. I was trained to belay and facilitate but I didn't get to use the training as much as I would have liked.
hey I have those same climbing shoes!! wow... I miss climbing.... I was scared every time I did it, and I would try to balance myself by sticking my butt way out so I could feel like my hands were doing work too which never worked.... do you live near any real rocks that you climb?
