VloggerCollage

I had an extremely fun time in NYC this past weekend. Here's a collage of stuff taped during my time down there.

Again, I couldn't express enough thanks to everyone that made it possible.

People keep asking about the Xbox server. I'll attempt to document it, but it's difficult to describe. Look for this documentation next post.

NB: RSS enclosures now included in the feed. Check it out, tell me if it doesn't work. Go ANT people! I want a Mac now :(

Kumquats

Our high school newspaper sucks.

We started our own "underground" (quoth Mr. Holland) newspaper. It's called Kumquats.

This is our second issue.

kumquats.newsletter@gmail.com to write for Kumquats.

This is not going to be released in school until tomorrow, so if you're seeing it now, lucky you. Now praise me.

Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day everybody!

So with this great new house we have, we've been hosting a lot of dinner parties. On December 26th we had some old friends over. Each time we get together, Rod Wheeler (left) and David Weeks (middle) always bring guitars and play. This time my brother, Brendon (right), joined in.

Woohoo! My first own vlog post!

As you'll hear in the video, I've just recently moved to a gorgeous new house. This post is all about introducing myself and showing you a bit about me.

I'll be posting most of my videos using the 3ivx codec, with MPEG-4 AAC audio. I'm gonna do my best to keep the quality decent without having extremely large files; afterall, I'm hosting this baby myself on the wonderful Microsoft Xbox.

09 January 05

So I was viewing some Vlogs the other day. I was watching Sean's post in response to Ryan(ne)'s name(s) and such. In another browser window, I had open Ryan(ne)'s post introducing her brother, Logan (whom I agree is awesome. Look at him go over those hurdles; so quickly, so flawlessly).

Well, ya know how sometimes viewing videos in your browser causes weird links to other places in the universe (probably Springfield)? Sometimes you can see your other open windows, or you desktop? Well. I was watching Sean, and all of a sudden Ryan(ne) popped up. I didn't know what was going on, and I was slightly frightened.

I've recreated my experience for your viewing pleasure.

Also, the capture card came in recently. So you'll see Dooser's first own video post shortly. Woohoo!

This is a continuation of the Santa Project pictures. Top one is with Carol Young, 11th grade English 'teacher'. She once told me "Literature is not up for interpretation." That's Chris in the bottom one. And Mrs. Alam. Click the second pic to go straight to it, Mrs. Alam's face is hilarious.

I've figured out a way to have a comment system, however, it's not gonna be hosted here. So there'll be a link after you comment to return you to either the post or the main page. If you check this blog, comment. I'd like to know people are viewing it. I think I'll just put up a comment thread for this post. Then wait until I get up a video post, and hopefully all of those will have comment threads.

Have you figured out how to find you way around the site? Click "_January 2005_" to bring you to the archive, which hosts the older posts. "iamdooser@gmail.com" is obviously my e-mail. "iamdooser" is a link to im me on AIM. The XML graphic is a link to the RSS feed for this site.

Enjoy!

05 January 2005

Each year, the seniors at Gloversville High School participate in what is called 'The Santa Project'. It's where we all dress up in Holiday attire and visit places around town to spread holiday cheer. We visit places like elementary schools, pre-schools, the hospital, and the Chamber of Commerce.

Following the excursion, El Jackso and I were bored. So we borrowed digital cameras and took pictures. Here's one with the two of us and Nick Wood. And another with the two of us and a water fountain. Notice the dents in the fountain.

03 January 05

So I've developed interest in this blogging thing. Mainly through my cousin, Eric Botticelli, and through links he has given me.

|His website: www.FreeSpeeches.net.|
|His Vlog as a guest on Jay's site.|

I've begun with a simple 'Phlog' post. [Phlog = Photo Blog]. This is me trying out a Selmer tenor sax (Selmer rocks). I'm an 'avid' photographer. Dark room and everything. However, there's no power in the darkroom. We must run an extension cord in from a hallway, and the hallway is used by other companies, so I don't have many opportunities to 'darkroom'. (I like making up random verbs].

On it's way is a capture card, so I will soon be able to post video blogs. Yes, I know...no digital camcorder ><. I have a few ideas of things I'd like to incorporate. I need to look into RSS feeding, as I'd like to see myself at www.me-tv.com.

Nota bene: I'm going to attempt to host this on my Xbox (woohoo! Microsoft!). Often-times I like to play Halo, so during those times the site will be down.
